The Whale Museum

Their mission – promoting stewardship of whales and the Salish Sea ecosystem through education & research.

The Whale Museum, located in beautiful Friday Harbor, Washington, opened to the public in 1979 as the first museum in the country devoted to a species living in the wild.

Today, the museum continues to promote stewardship of whales and the Salish Sea ecosystem through education and research.

 

Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center

Their mission  –  To promote the well-being of wildlife and their habitats through rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife, public education and non-invasive research.

Since it was founded in 1982, Wolf Hollow has provided care for over 16,000 injured and orphaned wild animals, with the aim of releasing them back into the wild.

 

SAFE San Juans

Their mission - prevention and elimination of domestic violence and sexual assault through victim services, education, community awareness and cultural and social change.

All of their services are free and confidential, and their agency serves people regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, income status, creed, or sexual orientation. They help survivors use their own strengths and abilities so they can experience their full potential.
